ICS Branding

ICS, a builder of custom cable and electro-mechanical assemblies based in Colorado, was in need of a rebrand. They wanted a new look that expressed their capability and technical prowess. This project went hand-in-hand with a complete rebuild of their website, which I also led.

I gave them a bold, geometric wordmark to evoke space-age technology, seeing as they want to attract more clients in aerospace. Similarly, the color palette harkens back to the space race, and is meant to look at home on spacecraft livery. Finally, in working with them, we also came about the idea of the mountain motif, given their proximity to the Rockies.

Frankly, this logo is not the design I was pushing for, but they were smitten with it. I wanted something more iconic that could stand apart from the wordmark. Of course, at the end of the day, it's what the client wants that matters.
