Gardening Poster

This poster was commissioned by a volunteer at the local botanical garden. The idea was to print it and sell it at the garden's gift shop. It's a gussied-up version of an existing meme. I wanted the gardening tools to have the look of 19th century scientific drawings, hence the inner linework suggesting both shadow and contour, and the pairing with a very humanist font. The colors were inspired by gouache paint.
