The Bruddahs Twitch Channel
2021

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, a couple buddies and I streamed on Twitch as "The Bruddahs". It was actually quite novel as a stream concept, as all three of us would appear on screen at once as we played online together. Naturally it landed on me to design and produce the channel branding and assets.
I leaned into the "outrun" theme: a color palette of hot pink, turquoise, and bright yellow-orange, coupled with tried and true outrun imagery like receding grid planes and virtual sunsets. For any panel or window element, I opted for rectangles with two rounded corners as a motif. The typography is simply anything fun and radical.
3-Up Overlay: The overlay during gameplay when all three of us were participating. The three slots along the left side contained each of our camera feeds. The game took up the largest area. The ribbon cable element emerging from the top camera feed is meant to associate that player with the gameplay, as the player on top was always whose game feed the viewers were seeing. Alerts appeared over the bottom strip where the grid is.
Chat Overlay: The overlay we used when we weren't playing anything. Two or three of us could appear in the window while the chat was rendered on the panel bordered in neon yellow. Alerts appeared to the right of the chat over the grid.
BRB Overlay: The overlay we put up during breaks. The dark panel on the right continued to render the chat while we were away. (Twitch accounts in the alert feed are blurred for privacy.)
